Frei seam coating systems protect welded food cans, beverage
cans and general line cans against corrosion and meet the strictest
requirements. These are highly individualistic and the parameters
can vary substantially among users and regions. Aggressive products
represent a burden for the seam area and a wide variety of corosion
effects can occur. Further, sterilization processes and the influence
of carbonization such as in beer and soft drinks will pose technical
problems.
Full and limited-life preserves with high processing temperatures and
acid concentrations impose stringent requirements on the internal
protective system of the cans. 

Frei AG offers 4 different seam coating systems:

For inside seams:   - Electrostatic powder coating              
                             - Roller coating for wet lacquer
                             - Airless-Spray system for wet lacquer  

For outside seams: - Roller coating for wet lacquer 

All 4 systems are also adaptable to older welding machines with
seams at lower side.
